When people thanked the Baba Sali for a blessing that came true, he turned their eyes toward Heaven. He taught that healing and salvation come from the Creator, not from any man. His days held little beyond prayer, Torah, and helping others. Gifts meant nothing to him. He asked nothing for himself.
