The Rebbe smiles toward someone we cannot see. Hebrew letters float through the color around him. They are the letters of the mivtzoyim, Torah carried into the street.

Before the Six Day War the Rebbe asked that every Jewish man be offered tefillin. One mitzvah, he taught, brings protection to soldiers far away. Chassidim went out to the streets that week. They are still standing on the corners today, offering a stranger the chance to wrap.The original hangs ready, through J Greenstein & Co.
